Where your website lives
- Your website and your account are hosted on our own servers in the EU, run by Netcup.
- Your website is built as plain, fast pages with nothing running behind them. There are no plugins to go out of date and no admin page for anyone to break into.
- Every website comes with a security certificate, so visitors see the padlock and everything they send is encrypted. It renews by itself.
- Our servers only accept web traffic and secure connections from our team. Repeated failed sign-ins are blocked automatically.
- Every version of your website is saved, so we can put an earlier one back if a change ever goes wrong.
Backed up every night
- Your account, your enquiries and your bookings are backed up every night, and again before every update we make to the platform. We keep the last 14 nights.
- Each backup is checked to make sure it is complete before we keep it.
- Every morning we check the latest backups. If one is missing, late or broken, our team is told straight away.
- Email mailboxes we host are backed up every night too, encrypted, with copies kept for up to six months.
Watched around the clock
- We check every live website every 15 minutes. If yours stops answering, our team hears about it and so do you, in your portal.
- Your domain and email settings are checked every hour, and your domain renewal every day, so nothing lapses by accident.
Your data, kept safe
- Passwords are stored scrambled, so nobody can read them, not even us. We turn down passwords that have turned up in known data leaks.
- Every page of your portal is sent over an encrypted connection.
- Each account's data is kept separate from every other account's.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- The photos and files you send us are kept private. Links to them stop working after an hour.
- Our team signs in with a password and a code from their phone. When a website specialist signs into your account to help, it lasts 30 minutes at most, it is recorded, and they cannot change your email address or password or close your account.
- Enquiries from your website go through our own spam filter, on our servers. The forms on our site check that a person, not a bot, is filling them in.
GDPR and your rights
- My Webby is run by RevUp Online Ltd, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZB406127).
- The details of your own customers belong to you. We look after them for you under the data processing terms in our terms and conditions, and only use them to run your website.
- You can download everything we hold about your account from your portal at any time.
- If you close your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. We keep invoices for as long as the law says we must.
- We tell you 90 days before we add a new company that handles your data. The full list is in our privacy policy.
- Your website counts its visitors without cookies. Google Analytics and advertising tags only load once a visitor agrees.
