Common questions
Do I own my website and domain?
Yes. Your website is yours, and after 12 months your domain is too. If you ever leave after that, you take them both with you.
What's the 12-month minimum about?
Our experts put real hours into building and launching your site, so we ask for a 12-month commitment. After that, it's monthly and you can cancel with notice.
How long until my site is live?
Complete your brief and we'll launch within 3–5 working days. Most customers are live within a week of signing up.
What if I don't like it?
Your expert keeps changing it until you are happy. Tell them what you want and they will do it.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. We point your existing domain at the new site. If you would rather have a new one, we register it and pay for it.
What happens to my site if I cancel?
After your 12-month term, you can cancel with notice. Your site and domain stay yours.
Do I need a card to see my designs?
No. Answer a few questions and you will see two homepage designs for your business in under five minutes. Webby does the groundwork, so it takes minutes instead of weeks. There is nothing to download, nothing to set up, and no card until you decide to go ahead.
Is this a template?
No. Everything is built from scratch for your business: your words written, your logo and colours designed, your homepage laid out. Webby does that groundwork and one of our experts finishes the site with you before it goes live.
Who actually builds my website?
One of our website experts builds it: refining the design, adding your photos and words, checking it on every device, talking it through with you and getting it live. The same expert stays with you after launch. Webby, our own AI, does the groundwork so they can spend their time on the part that needs a person.
What is included in every plan?
Your website, a free domain, hosting, an SSL certificate, automated backups and a business email address on your own domain. Every page goes live set up to be found on Google. You also get the expert who builds it and stays with you afterwards.
How many pages does my website have?
Up to 20 main pages on any plan. Growth adds a blog section, where its weekly SEO articles are published.
Can I see how many people visit my website?
Yes, on every plan. Your portal shows your visitors, where they came from and which pages they read. It uses no cookies and records nothing that identifies anybody, so your visitors are never asked to accept anything.
I already have a website. Can you replace it?
Yes. We build you a new one, keeping the bits that work and fixing the bits that do not. We do not just copy the old site across. Put the address in your brief and your expert will go through it with you.
How many services can my website cover?
