How long does the design take?
Under five minutes. You answer a few questions and Webby writes your words and builds a homepage design while you wait.
Do I have to stay on the page while it designs?
No. Watch it happen if you like. If you close the page, we'll email you the link as soon as your design is ready.
How many designs do I get?
One to start with. If it's not right, ask for another option and Webby makes a different one. Nothing is fixed at that point. Your website specialist changes whatever you want on the one you keep.
What do I need to have ready?
Nothing. The questions ask for everything we need and take about two minutes. If you've got a logo and a few photos, have them handy, but you can send those later.
What if I don't have a logo?
We'll design one for you, with a colour scheme to match, and your website specialist finishes it with you. If you already have a logo, upload it and we'll use yours.
How long until my website goes live?
Once your brief is complete, we launch in 3 to 5 working days. Before that, your website specialist refines the design, adds your real photos and words, puts the SEO foundations in place, checks it on every device and sends it to you to check.
When does billing start?
On the day your website goes live. You enter your card details when you sign up, but nothing is charged before launch. If your site is ready and we haven't heard from you for 14 days, we take the first payment so your website specialist's work isn't left sitting there. You can still go live whenever you're ready.
Can I change things after it launches?
Your website specialist makes the changes for you. Every change is free for the first 30 days after launch. After that you get one free change every month, and any more are £49.99 each, shown before you confirm. Most changes are done within two working days.
Do you write the words for me?
Yes. Your pages are written from what you tell us about your business, and the first draft is ready in minutes. Your website specialist goes through them with you before launch. If you'd rather use your own wording and photos, send them and we'll use those.
I already have a website. What happens to it?
We build you a new one. We keep what works and fix what doesn't, and we don't just copy the old site across. Put your address in your brief and your website specialist will go through it with you.
How will my website specialist keep in touch?
By phone and email. They'll call you, so you're never left chasing anyone, and they stay on hand after launch as your business grows.
Can I edit the website myself?
No. You tell your website specialist what you want changed and they do it properly, so nothing gets broken.
