What is Lovable good at?
Lovable says it's a full-stack AI development platform. You describe what you want in plain language and it generates an application with a frontend, a backend, a database, sign in and integrations. It says a first working version usually takes minutes.
Lovable also says you can use it to build internal tools, dashboards, customer portals, marketplaces and SaaS products, as well as websites and marketing pages. It describes a Chat Mode where you talk an idea through before any code is written, and it says you can undo a change straight away. If you do write code, Lovable says you can view and edit everything it generates.
If you have an idea for a tool or an app and you want to build it without hiring a developer, that's a real option, and Lovable says no technical knowledge is needed.

What do you actually do on Lovable?
Lovable says you describe what you want and it builds it. So your part is the conversation. You write down what the site or app should do, look at what comes back, and say what to change.
Then the decisions are yours. You choose which version you like, what the pages should say, what goes on the contact form and when it's ready. When you're happy you publish it, and from then on keeping it current is your job too.
That suits some people well. You stay in control of every choice, and you can work at any hour. It does mean the website is a project you run, and it takes the time a project takes.
Who does the work with each one?
This is the main difference between us and Lovable. With Lovable you chat, review, decide and publish. With My Webby one of our experts builds the website, you approve it, and we look after it.
We start with a short set of questions about your business. You tell us what you do, where you work and what you want more of. You don't need to know how a website is put together, and you don't write anything into a chat box to get the site made.

Which one gets you found on Google?
People search for the job and the place, like emergency electrician Leeds, dog groomer near me or kitchen fitter Bristol.
A page for each job you do, written around the words people type and with your town in it, matches those searches. We build the site that way from the start, because it's much harder to add later.
Every page also needs its own title and description, and the site needs a sitemap and the right code behind the scenes so Google can tell what you do and where. It has to load fast on a phone as well. With us all of that goes in at build, on every page. Your portal also shows you who is visiting, with no cookies and nothing that identifies anybody. If you want more, the SEO add-on is an article a week and a monthly report, monthly with no minimum term.
Keeping the site up to date
A few months after launch your hours change, you take on a new kind of job, a photo needs swapping or a price is out of date.
On Lovable that's a new conversation. You open your project, describe the change, check what it produced and publish it again. If you're short of time, the site waits.
