What is Replit good at?
Replit says you can turn ideas into apps in minutes with no coding needed. You describe what you want in plain words and it builds it. It says it makes apps, websites, slides and other projects this way, so a website is one of many things you can ask for.
That range is the good part. Replit lists dashboards, prototypes and chatbots alongside websites and landing pages. If you have a tool or an app in mind as well as a website, you can describe all of it in one place.
Replit is the better choice if

Online booking comes with the customer hub at £29.99 a month more, and business email is priced per mailbox. The add-ons are monthly with no minimum term, and there is no build fee.

What do you actually do on Replit?
Replit asks you what you want to build. Its home page says "Describe it. Publish it." You type what you have in mind, and its agent writes the code and puts a first version in front of you.
After that the work is yours. You read what it built, decide what's wrong or missing and say so. It makes a change and you look again. That goes round for as long as it takes you to be happy with the site.
Replit says it takes care of the rest once you ask for what you need. What you ask for, and whether the result is right for your business, is still your call.
Who decides what the website should say?
A prompt is only as full as the person writing it. If you type "make me a website for my plumbing business", you get something built from that one line, and the details come from you.
A good website for a trade needs a page for each job, and each page needs to say what you do, who it's for, how far you travel and what happens when someone gets in touch. Somebody has to know those things and put them in. On Replit that somebody is you.

Reviewing what gets built
Replit says it writes production-ready code and stays out of your way. With Replit you do the checking.
Somebody has to open every page on a phone and on a laptop. Somebody has to click each button, send the contact form to see where the message lands and read every line for anything that's wrong about your business.
With us your expert builds it and checks it on every device before you see it. Then you look at it as a customer would, and you approve it or ask for changes. You pay nothing until it goes live.

Which one gets you found on Google?
People search for the job and the place, like emergency electrician Leeds, fuse box replacement or electrician near me.
A page for each job, written around the words people type and with your town in it, matches those searches. One page listing everything you do doesn't. That's easier to set up while the site is being built than to add later.
Each page also needs its own title and description, and the site needs a sitemap and the right code behind it so Google can tell what you do and where. On Replit you'd need to know to ask for each of those, and then check they're there. With us they go in at build, on every page. Your portal also shows you who is visiting, with no cookies and nothing that identifies anybody. If you want more, the SEO add-on is an article a week and a monthly report, monthly with no minimum term.
Who runs the website after it's built?
Replit says its apps come with authentication, a database, hosting and monitoring, and it lists more than 100 integrations. Those are the parts an app is made of, and Replit says they're included.
A business website also has a domain that needs renewing, a security certificate, backups and updates. Somebody owns each of those. On Replit you decide how they're set up, and you're the one who knows when something needs attention.
With us they're ours to look after. The monthly price covers the website, your domain, hosting and the security certificate, plus backups, updates and website analytics in your portal. You don't set any of it up.
Keeping the site up to date
Half a year after launch your opening hours change, you add a service, a photo needs swapping or a price is out of date.
On Replit you go back to the agent, describe the change and read what it did. Then you check the rest of the site still looks right, on a phone as well, and publish it. The whole job is yours from the first message to the last check.
With us you message your expert and they do it, usually the same day. It's the same person each time, so they already know your business. Changes are free for the first 30 days after launch, then a one-off fee each, shown before you confirm, and anything bigger is quoted before it starts. You ask from your portal, in your own words, and can add a photo or file if it helps. The portal shows you the price before you send a change, and nothing is charged unless you confirm.
With the customer hub add-on every enquiry lands in one inbox with a status, so you can see who is still waiting on you. Trades can send a quote that the customer accepts online, then book the job into a calendar. Salons, barbers and anyone else who takes appointments get online booking from the services, prices and staff hours they set.

How do you move from Replit to My Webby?
If you already have something built on Replit, we don't move it across. We build you a new website, and your Replit project keeps running until you're ready.
Your expert takes the words and photos you already have as a starting point and asks you about the gaps. When the new site is ready you look at it, tell us what to change, and only then does your domain get pointed at it.
If you've built something else on Replit, like a tool or a dashboard, that stays where it is. We build websites, and we don't touch your apps.
Which one is right for you?
If you want to build apps or tools, or you enjoy working out what to ask for and shaping the result yourself, Replit is made for that. Replit also lists enterprise controls such as SSO/SAML and SOC 2, for teams that need them.
If you just want a website and building one isn't how you want to spend your time, that's us. Can you move my Replit site over?
We build you a new one rather than move the old one. Your expert works from the words and photos you already have, and your Replit project keeps running until the new site goes live. Send us the address when you start.
Is My Webby cheaper than Replit?
We don't quote what Replit charges, because its plans change. Our price is on this page and it includes the build, the domain and the hosting, with business email added per mailbox. There's no build fee. You pay nothing until the site is live.
Can I describe what I want and have it built, like on Replit?
Not in that way. You answer a short set of questions and one of our experts builds the site. You see a design in about five minutes and ask for changes in your own words. If you want to work by prompting, Replit is the better fit.
Can My Webby build me an app?
No. We build websites for small businesses, with up to 10 service pages. If you want an app or a tool, Replit says it builds those, and you can have one of those and a My Webby website side by side.
Who looks after the website once it's live?
We do. Hosting, the security certificate, backups and updates are in the monthly price. If you want something changed, you message your expert from your portal. Changes are free for 30 days after launch, then a one-off fee each, shown before you confirm.
What happens to my domain?
If you have one already you can move it to us, or leave it where it is and point it at your new site. Your expert sorts that with you. A domain we register for you is yours after twelve months.
