What a beauty salon website has to do

Beauty is booked late and booked by treatment. Somebody wants gel nails on Thursday, or lashes before a wedding, and they are deciding on a phone at an hour when there is nobody in the salon to pick up.

So online booking sits at the centre of the site, with your treatments, your times and your prices behind it. You set the hours and how long each treatment takes, and clients book into what is left. Around that go your photographs, because beauty is chosen on the work.

Getting found for treatments in your area

Nobody searches beauty services. They search gel nails, lash extensions, HD brows, facials, waxing and semi permanent make up, one treatment at a time and usually with a town on the end.

How does the booking actually work?

You set the hours you are available and how long each treatment takes, and clients pick a slot on your website. You confirm or move it in a click and they get a confirmation email either way. Nothing to install and no fee per booking.

Some treatments need a patch test. Can the site say so?

Yes. Your expert will put the patch test rule on the treatments it applies to, with how far ahead it has to be done, so the booking arrives with fewer questions attached.

Do I have to stop taking bookings through Instagram?

Not at all. Keep posting. The difference is that the link in your bio takes a booking at 11pm as well as a DM you answer in the morning.

Can I show a gallery for each treatment?

Can I take a deposit?

Can treatments have different lengths?

Yes, and they should. Your expert sets the real time against each one, so a two hour lash appointment and a twenty minute tint never get offered the same slot.

Can the site handle patch tests?

Yes. Mark the treatments that need one and the booking screen says so and books them far enough ahead. The rule sits on the page instead of in a message you send afterwards.

Can I take deposits on some treatments and not others?

Yes. Tell your expert which ones and how much, and only those ask for it. Your cancellation terms go on the same screen so nobody is surprised.

Can I sell courses or blocks of treatments?

Yes. Course prices go on the page next to the single treatment price, and your expert can set the booking up so somebody on a course books their next appointment the same way.

How long until my website is live?

Complete your brief and we launch within 3–5 working days. Most beauty salons are live within a week of signing up.

When do I start paying?
