Websites for pest controllers

What a pest control website has to do

Nobody plans to need a pest controller. They've heard scratching in the loft, found a wasp nest over the back door or seen a mouse run across the kitchen, and they want somebody on the phone today. Many are embarrassed as well as worried, so they want to know you'll be discreet and that you won't judge the state of the house.

So your number sits at the top of every screen, with a call-out form underneath it that asks what the pest is and where. The pests you deal with each get their own page, and your accreditations and insurance go where a nervous customer reads them before they let a stranger treat their home.

Getting found for the pest you want more of

People search for the pest, not for the profession: rats in the loft, wasp nest removal, bed bug treatment, mice in the kitchen, with a town on the end. One page headed pest control services matches none of them closely.

You get a page for each pest and each job you want more of, written around those words. The titles, descriptions, sitemap and structured data go in when we build the site, so a search engine can see what you treat and where you work. Pests come in seasons, with wasps in summer and rodents as the weather turns, so your website specialist can put the seasonal pages up in good time.

Accreditation, rodenticides and what a customer needs to see

Anyone can call themselves a pest controller, so the proof matters. Membership of the British Pest Control Association, a qualification such as the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management and your public liability cover go on the site in plain words. If you use professional rodenticides, your training under the rodenticide stewardship regime from the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU UK) belongs there too.

Customers with pets, children or a food business also want to know how you treat and what you leave behind. A short, honest page on that answers the question before it's asked, and it's the sort of page that gets a call instead of a back button.

How your pest control website gets built

Answer a few questions about your business, the pests you treat and the areas you cover. A homepage design comes back in under five minutes and you look at it first. There's no card and nothing to install.

Then one of our website specialists builds it out with you: your home page, a page for each pest, your accreditations and the areas you cover, checked on a phone and a laptop, then live on your own domain. After that, adding a pest or changing your hours is a message to them. You pay nothing until the site goes live.

What happens when somebody gets in touch

The form asks what you would ask on the phone: which pest, where in the property, how long it has been going on and whether it's urgent. It can ask for a photo too, which often tells you whether it's a wasp nest or a hornet nest before you set off.

The enquiry lands in your email within seconds. With the customer hub add-on it lands in your hub as well, with a status you set to contacted, won or lost, so a call-out that came in while you were on a roof doesn't go cold. Your website specialist sets the questions up with you before launch and changes them whenever you ask.

Pest controllers ask us

Will it come up when somebody searches for rats or wasps in my town?

Your site launches with a page for each pest, written around the words people type, with the titles, descriptions, structured data and sitemap Google needs. Where you end up depends on your area and your competition, and it builds over months, not days. The SEO and AI search add-on keeps adding new content every week. For calls straight away, Google Ads puts you at the top, and Google Maps helps you show up for pest control near me.

Can the site show my BPCA membership and qualifications?

Yes, and it should. Your membership, your RSPH or equivalent qualification and your insurance go on the pages people read before they ring. Send your website specialist what you hold and they'll put it in plain words.

I use professional rodenticides. Should the site say so?

If you're trained under the rodenticide stewardship regime, yes. A line saying so, and a short page on how you bait safely around pets, wildlife and children, answers the question many customers have. Tell your website specialist your training and how you work and they'll write it up.

Should emergency and same day work have its own page?

Usually, yes. Someone with a wasp nest over the door types different words from a landlord planning a regular visit, so your website specialist writes the urgent page around the urgent words and puts your number at the top. Tell them your hours and how fast you can attend and both go on it.

I do commercial contracts as well. Can the site cover both?

Yes. Homes and businesses search for different things, so each gets its own pages. Restaurants, landlords and managing agents want to hear about audits, visit records and how quickly you attend, and home owners want to hear that you'll be discreet.

Can people send a photo of the pest?

The call-out form can ask for photos, and they arrive with the enquiry. It helps you tell a wasp nest from a hornet nest, or droppings from something else, before you go out. Tell your website specialist what you want to see and they'll set it up.

Can the site explain what happens on the day?

Yes, and it brings in calls. A page on what you do on arrival, how long a treatment takes, whether people and pets need to leave and whether you come back to check the work answers the questions customers would otherwise ring and ask, or not ring at all.

What does a one-person pest control business need to start with?

The website. You get a page for each pest you treat and your own domain, and a business email address is added per mailbox. Add the customer hub when you want your enquiries in one place with a status on each.

Can I add a pest later?

Yes. Up to 10 service pages come with your website, one for each pest or job. Ask from your portal whenever you like and it goes to your website specialist to write. Photos and wording changes count as a change request, and you get one free every month after launch, with any more at £49.99 each, shown before you confirm.

How long until my website is live?

Complete your brief and we launch within 3 to 5 working days. Most pest controllers are live within a week of signing up.

When do I start paying?

On the day your website goes live. You enter card details at signup, but nothing is charged before launch. If your site is ready and we do not hear from you for 14 days, we take the first payment, so your website specialist's work is not left sitting there. You can still go live whenever you are ready.

Is this a template?

No. Everything is built from scratch for your business: your words written, your logo and colours designed, your homepage laid out. One of our website specialists finishes the site with you before it goes live.

Do I need a card to see the design?

No. Answer a few questions and you will see a homepage design for your business in under five minutes. There is nothing to download, nothing to set up, and no card until you decide to go ahead.

Can I have a page for each job I do?

Yes, for the jobs you want more of. Tell your website specialist which those are. Each one gets its own page, written to be found for the words people type when they need it. Every plan includes up to 10, one for each service you offer, and you can ask for a new one from your portal at any time.
