  • builders in [your town]
  • house extensions [your town]
  • loft conversion [your town]
  • single storey extension cost

Four ways to get a website

Three of them cost you time, money or both. The fourth is My Webby.

The time consuming way

Do it yourself

Cheap to start, costly in evenings

  • Weeks of your spare time learning a site builder
  • A template that looks like a thousand other sites
  • Nobody to call when something breaks
  • Nothing done to get you found on Google
The expensive way

A traditional agency

Lovely work, eye-watering bill

  • Thousands up front, before you have seen a thing
  • Weeks or months before it goes live
  • Meetings, revisions and waiting on replies
  • More website than most small businesses need
The uninformed way

A generic AI website tool

Quick, but you are on your own

  • It builds what you type, not what your customers need
  • Nobody checks it loads fast, reads well or ranks on Google
  • Looks fine to you, but not to a designer or your customers
  • No human to fix it when it goes wrong
The better way

My Webby

AI speed, human finish, small business price

  • Real designs for your business in under five minutes
  • Nothing to pay until your website is live
  • Built and looked after by our experts
  • Agency quality at a fraction of the price

Our experts do the work. Webby makes them quicker.

You do not build anything. One of our experts builds your website, goes through it with you and gets it live, then stays with you afterwards for changes and improvements as your business develops.

They have been building websites for over 20 years, so they know what gets you found on Google, what turns a visitor into an enquiry, and what to leave out. Webby does the groundwork for them, so their time goes on the part that needs a person. That is where the price comes from.

Expertise. Quality. Value. Guaranteed.

Your enquiries, bookings and reviews in one place

Starter Plus and Growth come with a customer hub in your portal. Messages land in an inbox with a status, customers book a time online from the hours you set, and you can ask for a review in seconds.

See how the customer hub works

The leads inbox in the My Webby portal, listing five enquiries with the customer's name, contact, where it came from, the date and a status of New, Contacted or Won, each with a status select and a Save button.

Fully bespoke

Need something bigger? We build those too.

Online shops, advanced booking systems, member areas and sites with dozens of pages. These start with a conversation, not a form: book a meeting and an expert will talk it through with you and put a proper proposal together.

Websites for builders

What a builder's website has to do

Websites for builders are read slowly. Extensions, loft conversions, renovations and new builds are large, disruptive and expensive, and people compare several firms over weeks before they ring anybody. Your website is doing the talking through all of that.

What convinces somebody at that stage is finished work, shown properly. Project pages that take a job from the first photograph through to the finished thing, with what it involved and how long it took, do more than any amount of description. Around them sit the things that make a firm look established: your guarantees, your insurance, and memberships like FMB or TrustMark.

Getting found for building work in your area

Building searches are typed by job and by place. Single storey extension cost, loft conversion near me, house renovation builders and new build contractors all carry a town or a postcode, and the sites that come back are the ones with a page written for that job.

So your site gets a page for the work you want more of rather than one page covering everything. Somebody searching for a loft conversion is not searching for an extension, and giving each its own page means each can be written properly, with your own photographs of that kind of job. The titles, descriptions, sitemap and structured data go in at build.

Getting the size of enquiry you want

Builders get enquiries across a huge range, from a garden wall to a two-storey extension. The website can do some of that sorting before the phone rings.

Target the types of customer you want, big or small or both. How they get in touch is up to you, and we always suggest a couple of options, but whether you want an enquiry form, a phone call, a WhatsApp message or an email we can make sure it fits how you work. The form asks enough that you know what you are looking at before you ring back.

How your building company's website gets built

Answer a few questions about your business, the work you want more of and the areas you cover, and two homepage designs come back in under five minutes. You look at it first, with no card and nothing to install.

One of our experts then finishes it with you: your project photographs, your write-ups, your guarantees and memberships, checked on every screen and put live on your own domain. Send as much or as little as you have got. The same expert stays with you afterwards, so adding a finished project is a message rather than a job. Nothing is charged until the site goes live.

What happens when somebody gets in touch

Building enquiries vary more than most, so the form does the sorting. Your expert can have it ask the type of work, whether there are drawings yet, the rough budget and the timescale. You tell them the smallest job you want to hear about and the form can say so on the page, which keeps the quoting time on work you want.

Each enquiry arrives by email straight away, and on Starter Plus and Growth in your customer hub as well. Because building work is quoted over weeks rather than days, the status against each one matters here more than it does for most trades: you can see what you have priced, what you are waiting on and what has gone quiet.

What your expert will ask you for

None of this is needed to see your designs. It is what one of our experts goes through with you afterwards, while they are finishing the site, so it is worth knowing what is coming.

  • Your FMB, TrustMark or NHBC membership numbers, if you hold them
  • Your public liability and contract works cover
  • Photographs of finished projects, with a line about each one
  • The smallest job you want to hear about
  • Whether you want architects and planning mentioned, or kept off the site

Builders ask us

More on what it costs is on the pricing page, and more on what happens after you sign up is on how it works.

How do I stop getting tiny jobs I don't want?

By saying what you do, plainly, on a site written for the work you want. Your expert aims the pages, the words and the examples at the jobs worth having. The enquiry form asks the questions that let you size a job before you ring back.

I want to show my finished projects properly.

Project pages do exactly that: photographs, what the job involved and how it went. Send your expert what you have and they build it. On Starter Plus and Growth they add new projects for you as you finish them.

Should each type of work have its own page?

Yes, for the work you actually want more of. Someone searching for a loft conversion isn't searching for an extension. Give each one its own page and you turn up for both. Tell your expert which jobs those are.

Can I add new projects as I finish them?

Yes. Send your expert the photos and a line about the job and they build the page. On Starter Plus and Growth that comes out of your included monthly changes.

Can I show accreditations like FMB or TrustMark?

Yes. Your memberships, your insurance and your reviews go where a customer looks for them. They are what separates you from the firm quoting on price alone.

Do you cover extensions, loft conversions and new builds?

Whatever you actually do. Each one can have its own page, written to be found for that job in your area.

Can the form ask whether they have drawings?

Yes. It is one of the most useful questions on a builder's form, because an enquiry with plans attached and one with an idea are two different conversations. Your expert adds it and anything else you would ask before booking a visit.

Can I show a project properly, not just a photo?

Yes. Each project can have its own set of photographs and a few lines about what the job was, how long it took and anything awkward you solved. That is the part somebody planning an extension actually reads.

Should extensions and lofts be separate pages?

Yes. They are searched for by name and by cost, so each gets a page written around those words. Your expert also links them together, because plenty of people price up both before deciding.

Can I show FMB or TrustMark on the site?

Yes. Send your expert your membership numbers and they go on the pages people read before they ring, next to your insurance and your guarantee.

How long until my website is live?

Complete your brief and we launch within 3–5 working days. Most builders are live within a week of signing up.

When do I start paying?

On the day your website goes live, and your 12-month term starts from then. You enter card details at signup, but nothing is charged before launch. If your site is ready and we do not hear from you for 14 days, we charge the first month, so your expert's work is not left sitting there. You can still go live whenever you are ready.

Is this a template?

No. Everything is built from scratch for your business: your words written, your logo and colours designed, your homepage laid out. Webby does that groundwork and one of our experts finishes the site with you before it goes live.

Do I need a card to see the designs?

No. Answer a few questions and you will see a homepage design for your business in under five minutes. Webby does the groundwork, so it takes minutes instead of weeks. There is nothing to download, nothing to set up, and no card until you decide to go ahead.

Can I have a page for each job I do?

Yes, for the jobs you want more of. Tell your expert which those are. Each one gets its own page, written to be found for the words people type when they need it. Every plan includes three to start with and you can add more from your portal at any time. The pricing page has the cost.
