Websites for nail, lash and brow technicians

What a nail, lash or brow technician's website has to do

If you work from home, from a rented room or by travelling to clients, you have no shop window. Your website is the shop window. People find you by searching for the treatment, look at your photos and book on their phone, often late in the evening.

So booking goes in the middle of the site, with your treatments, your lengths and your prices behind it, and your best photographs above it. You set the days and hours you work, and clients book into what's left.

Getting found for the one treatment you do best

People search for gel nails, acrylics, lash lift, lash extensions, brow lamination or HD brows, one treatment at a time, usually with a town on the end. A technician who does three of them well wants three pages, not one page about beauty.

You get a page for each treatment you want more of, written around those words. Titles, descriptions, a sitemap and structured data go in when the site is built, so a search engine can see what you offer and where you work.

Hygiene, patch tests and your qualifications

Clients want to know you're trained and insured. Your qualifications, the awarding body such as VTCT or ITEC if that's who you trained with, and your insurance go on the page in plain words, beside your hygiene routine.

Lash and brow tints need a patch test, usually at least 24 to 48 hours before, and the site can say so before somebody books. Some councils register or license certain treatments or the place they're done, which varies by council, so check yours and show the registration if you have one.

How your website gets built

Answer a few questions about your treatments, where you work and the hours you keep. A homepage design comes back in under five minutes with online booking in it. You look at it first, with no card and nothing to install.

Then one of our website specialists builds it out with you: your treatments, times and prices, your galleries, your qualifications and your booking hours, checked on a phone and a laptop, then live on your own domain. After that, a new treatment or price is just a message. You pay nothing until the site goes live.

What happens when somebody books

The client picks the treatment, say a full set, a fill or a lash lift, and the booking screen only offers slots long enough for it. A two hour set is never squeezed into a gap that fits a brow tint. You both get a confirmation email.

If you work from home, the exact address can wait for the confirmation, so it isn't on the public page. If you travel, the booking form asks where the client is. Moving an appointment takes a click and emails the client.

Nail, lash and brow technicians ask us

How does the booking actually work?

You set the days and hours you work and how long each treatment takes, and clients pick a slot on your website. You confirm it or move it in a click, and they get a confirmation email either way. There's nothing to install and no fee per booking.

I work from home. Do I have to put my address on the site?

No. The site can show the area or the first part of your postcode, and the full address goes in the confirmation email once somebody has booked. If you travel to clients, the booking form asks where they are instead.

Can the site warn people about patch tests?

Yes. Your lash and brow pages can say a patch test is needed before a tint or a set, how far ahead of the appointment, and how to arrange one. Your website specialist writes it in your words, so it matches what you actually require.

Can I show before and after photos?

Yes. Send your website specialist the photos and they go on the treatment page, sized and captioned. Ask clients for permission first, and tell us if anyone doesn't want their face or hands shown. That's a change request, and you get one free every month after launch.

Can a full set and a fill have different lengths and prices?

Yes. A full set, a two week fill and a removal can each have their own price, and the booking screen keeps your diary right because it knows how long each one really takes.

What about clients who cancel late or don't turn up?

Your terms go on the site in your own words, and on the booking screen so clients see them before they confirm. Taking a deposit online is a bespoke build, so it isn't part of the standard plans. Tell us what you need and we'll talk it through with you.

I'm registered with the council. Can I show it?

Yes. If your council registered or licensed you or your premises, your website specialist puts the registration on your page. What you need depends on the treatments and on your council, so ask them, as we can't advise on it.

What do I need for the booking system?

The customer hub add-on. The booking system and your enquiries live in it, and Google review requests are coming soon. It's monthly with no minimum term.

I'm new and still building my client list. Is a website worth it?

Often more so, because it gives people searching for gel nails or lashes in your town a reason to pick you over someone with more reviews. Your photos, your qualifications and your prices answer what a new client wants to know. Start with the website and add the hub when you want the booking in one place.

How long until my website is live?

Complete your brief and we launch within 3 to 5 working days. Most nail, lash and brow technicians are live within a week of signing up.

When do I start paying?

On the day your website goes live. You enter card details at signup, but nothing is charged before launch. If your site is ready and we do not hear from you for 14 days, we take the first payment, so your website specialist's work is not left sitting there. You can still go live whenever you are ready.

Is this a template?

No. Everything is built from scratch for your business: your words written, your logo and colours designed, your homepage laid out. One of our website specialists finishes the site with you before it goes live.

Do I need a card to see the design?

No. Answer a few questions and you will see a homepage design for your business in under five minutes. There is nothing to download, nothing to set up, and no card until you decide to go ahead.

Can I have a page for each job I do?

Yes, for the jobs you want more of. Tell your website specialist which those are. Each one gets its own page, written to be found for the words people type when they need it. Every plan includes up to 10, one for each service you offer, and you can ask for a new one from your portal at any time.
