Websites for driveway specialists

What a driveway website has to do

A driveway is a big spend, and the person paying for it wants to see driveways. Block paving, resin, tarmac, gravel and patios all look different, and most people have a rough idea which one they want before they start ringing round.

So each surface you lay gets its own page, with your own photographs of it. The page says what that surface costs to lay, how long it takes and how long it lasts. Your number and a quote form sit on every screen, because a driveway enquiry usually starts with a question.

Getting found for driveway work in your area

Block paving, resin bound driveways, tarmac drives, driveway cleaning and patio laying are separate searches with separate customers. Each one carries a town or a postcode.

Your site is built round those phrases, one page per surface. The titles, descriptions, sitemap and structured data go in when it's built, so a search engine can work out what you lay and where. With the SEO add-on a new article goes up every week and links back to those pages.

Photographs, prices and proof

Galleries work best in pairs. The old cracked concrete next to the finished block paving shows what you did.

Before they let a firm dig up the front of their house, people want to know you're insured, that other people locally have used you and roughly what a drive their size comes to. Your insurance, your reviews and a price guide all go on the pages people read before they ring.

How your driveway website gets built

You answer a few questions about your business, the surfaces you lay and the areas you cover. A homepage design comes back in under five minutes. You see it first, with no card and nothing to install.

Then one of our website specialists finishes it with you. Your photographs, your words, your surfaces and your insurance go in, it's checked on a phone and a laptop, and it goes live on your own domain. They stay with you afterwards, so adding a drive you've just finished is a message. You pay nothing until the site goes live.

What happens when somebody gets in touch

Driveways are priced by area, so the form asks for it, along with a photograph of the front of the house and what's down at the moment. Your website specialist can also ask whether they want drainage looked at and whether a dropped kerb is needed. Both change the price.

Every enquiry reaches your email as it's sent, and your customer hub if you add it. A drive is often quoted against two or three other firms, so the status on each one tells you who's still deciding and who to ring back.

Driveway specialists ask us

Will it rank for "block paving near me"?

Your site launches with a page for each surface you lay, written around the phrases people type. The titles, descriptions, structured data and sitemap go in too. Where you land depends on your area and your competition, so the SEO add-on keeps publishing new content every week.

Can I show before and after photos?

Yes, send them over. Your website specialist will pair them up and sort them by surface, so somebody after resin sees resin.

Where do the enquiries go?

Straight to your inbox, and there's nothing to pay per enquiry. With the customer hub add-on they also land in your hub with a status on each one.

Can I show my guarantee and my insurance?

Yes. Your guarantee, your public liability cover and your reviews go on the pages people read before they ring, not at the bottom of an about page.

What should I start with?

The website is enough to get going. You get up to 10 service pages and your domain, and a business email address is added per mailbox. The customer hub add-on puts your enquiries together, with review requests coming soon.

Can I put a price guide on the site?

Yes, and plenty of driveway firms do, usually as a range by size. It puts people off ringing about a job you wouldn't want, and gives serious enquiries a number to work from. Tell your website specialist how you price and they'll write it that way.

Should each material have its own page?

Yes. Resin, block paving and tarmac are searched for by name and by cost. Each material gets a page written around its own words.

Can the site explain drainage rules?

Yes, in plain words. Drainage and permeable surfaces come up on nearly every quote. A short page that answers it saves you the conversation, and picks up people searching for it.

How long until my website is live?

Complete your brief and we launch within 3 to 5 working days. Most driveway specialists are live within a week of signing up.

When do I start paying?

On the day your website goes live. You enter card details at signup, but nothing is charged before launch. If your site is ready and we do not hear from you for 14 days, we take the first payment, so your website specialist's work is not left sitting there. You can still go live whenever you are ready.

Is this a template?

No. Everything is built from scratch for your business: your words written, your logo and colours designed, your homepage laid out. One of our website specialists finishes the site with you before it goes live.

Do I need a card to see the design?

No. Answer a few questions and you will see a homepage design for your business in under five minutes. There is nothing to download, nothing to set up, and no card until you decide to go ahead.

Can I have a page for each job I do?

Yes, for the jobs you want more of. Tell your website specialist which those are. Each one gets its own page, written to be found for the words people type when they need it. Your website includes up to 10, one for each service you offer, and you can ask for a new one from your portal at any time.
