What an electrician's website has to do
Electrical work is wide. A rewire, a fuse board upgrade, an EICR for a landlord, an EV charger on the drive and a fault at eleven at night are five different customers with five different searches. Each one wants a site that clearly does their job.
Each job you want more of gets its own page. Somebody searching for a landlord certificate lands on a page about landlord certificates, with your registration number, your area and a way to get in touch on it.
Getting found for electrical work in your area
Electrical searches are specific and local. House rewire cost, EICR near me, EV charger installation and consumer unit replacement all get typed with a town on the end, and the sites that come back are the ones written around those exact phrases.
Your website specialist asks which work you want more of and writes those pages around the words people use for it. The technical side goes in underneath when we build it: page titles, descriptions, a sitemap and the structured data Google reads to work out what you do and where. If EV charging or commercial testing is where you want to grow, that page is written around your town, and changed as the work changes.

What happens when somebody gets in touch

Can I have pages for testing work as well as installs?

Can customers book a survey online?

Can EV chargers have a page of their own?
Yes, and we'd suggest it. People search for the charger brand, the grant and the install separately, so one page covering everything electrical doesn't match any of them well. Tell your website specialist which brands you're approved for and they'll write the page around those words.
Can the site show which boards and brands I work with?
Yes. Approvals and brand badges go on the page for the job they belong to, not in one row at the bottom. Somebody reading about a fuse board upgrade is the person who wants to see them.
I do a lot of landlord work. Can the site go after it?
Yes. Landlords and letting agents search for certificates and how fast you can turn them round. Your website specialist writes a page for the testing work with your price and how quickly you can get there, and links it from the pages a homeowner reads.
Can I show my qualifications and my insurance?
Yes, on whichever pages you want them. Send your website specialist your registration numbers and your public liability certificate and they'll put them where somebody about to ring a stranger will see them.
How long until my website is live?
Complete your brief and we launch within 3 to 5 working days. Most electricians are live within a week of signing up.
When do I start paying?
On the day your website goes live. You enter card details at signup, but nothing is charged before launch. If your site is ready and we do not hear from you for 14 days, we take the first payment, so your website specialist's work is not left sitting there. You can still go live whenever you are ready.
Is this a template?
No. Everything is built from scratch for your business: your words written, your logo and colours designed, your homepage laid out. One of our website specialists finishes the site with you before it goes live.
